At Addington yesterday the entries were 15,822 sheep, 1291 cattle, and 285 pigs. The bidding for fat cattle was slightly^ brisker for the better classes, but there was no actual rise. Best beef brought 16s to 17s 6d per 1001b, co^ and secondary sorts 12s 6d to 15s. In .dairy cows, except really good young springers,' there was little demand. Reajly good , cows and heifers brought up to £6 10s. Others were hard to quit at any price. .J?at sheep — The bulk was, ewe mutton, of which a large proportion were only half fat. Ewe mutton was a perfect drug, and owing to the block at the factories freezers were slightly easier. Heavy weight wethers, 17s to 19s; best freezers, 15s to 16s lOd ; medium do; 13s to 14s 6d ; unfinished do, lls to 12s 9d ; bee t ewes, lls to 12s 6d ; medium do, 8s to 10s Gd; inferior, 6s 6d to 7s 9d; merino wethers, 7s 6d to 10s sd. Store sheepPrices were slightly easier than last week. Good breeding ewes, 9s to 12s 10d; aged do, 5s to 7s 6d ; best hoggets, 8s 4d to 9s 4d; medium do, 6s 9d to 8s ; forward turnip wethers, lls to 13s Id ; backward do, 8s to 10s. Pigs brought 3id to 4d per lb for baconers and porkers. There is no change worth speaking of in the grain and produce markets.
