A petition has been forwarded from Mokihinui to the Boundary Commissioners, asking that the Mokihinui district should be included in the Buller electorate. Mr. W. Earnshaw has definitely made up his mind to contest the City of Dunedin seat in the coming election. Mr. D. Ciewe, auctioneer, is mentioned as being likely to contest the Pahiatua seat in the Liberal interest, and it is reported that Mr. E. J. Gothard is another probable candidate. The Dunstau Times states that Mr. Burnett, of Hawkden station, is being asked to stand for Waiheino.
