FOOTBALL. OTAGO v. WELLINGTON.

This match, which is to be played on Saturday, is causing tremendous interest. Otago is strongly supported, and a large sum of money will change hands on the result of the contest. It is -satisfactory to note that Gage, Pauling, and M'Kenzie will be able to play, and these accessions will considerably strengthen the Wellington team. Mr. W. G. Garrard, of Christchurch, will act as referee. The Wellington team will be selected to-night. A meeting of the Otago Football Team Reception Committee was held yesterday evening. The list of toasts and the musical programme was settled. Mr. M. J. Brookes, of the Dresden, has kindly undertaken to lend a concert piano and print programmes. Mr. H. D. Bell, M.H.R., will be chairman on the occasion. An advertisement in reference to the concert appears in our ad\ertising columns. The Otago team will arrive here by the Tasmania to-morrow forenoon.
