(Received August 26, 10.45 a.m.) London, 25th August At yesterday's sales 1725 oases Australian tallow were put up to auotion, 1100 being sold. Medium mutton brought 22s : medium beef, 20a 6d. (Received August 26, 2 p.m.) London, 24th August. The Waimea has tailed for Dnnedin and the Bluff. Tha Euapehu arrived at Plymouth yesterday. Her meat was reported in good condition. The Bimutaka left Plymouth today, loaded for Wellington and Lyttelton. She has 2450 tons cargo and 211 paseeagera. Ihe barqne Bangitikei, from Pioton (25th May), has arrived in the Channel. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agenoy Company, Limited, has reoeived the following as the latest London market quotations, corrected by oable message received on Saturday :— Frozen meats— Mutton market weak; lamb market sluggish. Canterbury mutton is worth 4Jd per lb; Wellington mutton, 3|d; Lamb, prime New Zealand, 4§d. Tallow— There is rather a better demand. Fine mutton, 23s 3d per owt ; good beef, 2ls 6d. Hemp, medium. .£l3 10s per ton. Butter, New Zealand, 80s to 84s per owt.
