Marshall, 20} Priv. Rost, 18 ; total, 155. A Government inspection of the D Battery took plaoo at the Mount Cook Drillehed last evening, 50 of all ranks being present. Lieut.-Colonel Newall, who was accompanied by Staff Sergeant-Major Finn, made a minute inspection, and oomplitnented the battery on tha good muster. Aiming and position drill and physical drill, under Sergeant-Major Finn, constituted the evening's work. The second Morris tube oompetition for Lient. Warren's prizes -will be held in the Drillshed this evening.
