The final match for the Association Junior Cup wai between the Thorndon aud Diamond Clnba. In the first spell the Thorndon forwards worked hard against a stiff wind, and from a tine dribble Wells passed the ball into the centre, and A. Clark drew first blood for the Thomdons. The Thorndons had also the best of the next spell, and Wilkinson scored groal No 2 for them. Time was called shortly after, leaving the Thorndons winners by two goals to nil, and also winncs of the junior onp for the season 1895-6. For the Diamonds D. Drisooll (of the Foneke Club) made a fair goalkeeper, whilst Skinner, Carter, Collins, E. Meech, and Hathaway were the best of the others. For the winners Orr, Clark (2), Lowe, Wells, Matthews, and Williams played best. Mr. D. J. Collins was referee. The Management Committee of the Wellington Rugby Union met last evening, Mr. B. Davy in the ohair. It was deoided to inform the Marlborough Union that a Weilington team would be unable to play in Blenheim this year. The Junior Cup match St. Patrick's College v. Permission was given to the Petone Club to play the Linwood Clnb at Christchurch on the 15th instant, and to the Wellington College to play the Wanganni Collegiate School at Wellington on the 23rd instant.
