The question as to whether this year's tournament iv connection vitli the New Zealand Football Association shield shall b.Q played in Auckland or Dunedin will ba deoided by the Association this evening. Otago still refuses to give way in favour Of Auckland. The United Tradesmen and the Drapers' Clubs met yesterday afternoon for the first time this season. The former won by 15 points to "9. For tbe Tradesmen, Warner kicked a goal from a free kick, converted a try obtained by Slinn, potted a splendid goal, and scored a try which he was unable to convert. Billman, Warner, and Whitworth were the pick of the baoka. Johnson, Slinn, Laughton, and Whitnorth ware the best of the forwards. Arnott, Lenhata, and bmith soored for the Drapers, but none of of the tries were oonverted. / The Oriental Football Club meets tomorrow evening at the Melrose gymnasium. At a meeting of the members of the Wellington third fifteen, hold in the Gymnasium last night, Mr. F. Sutton was elected Captain, and Messrs. Morsbead and Dodwell, with the Captain, as a Match Committee. Mr. H. E. Morrah was appointed to the Junior Committee, vice Mr. E. Pownall (resigned). The oommittee of the Wellington Junior Rugby Union met last night, at Mr. J. Skinner's. Fixtures for IBth May were drawn as follows : — Senior Cup- Koro Eoro v. Empire, at Petone (Mr. Miiirhead referee) ; St John's v. Addington, at Island Bay (Mr. Hurrell referee). Junior Cvp — Koro Koro v. Adiinjfton, at Rarori (Mr. Hart referee) ; Merivale v. St. John's, at Petone (Mr. Barnes referee). The olubs constituting the proposed Waipawa Rugby Union have held, a meeting at Waipawa, and deoided to join the Hawkes Bay Eugby Union as a southern branch, in accordance with the recommendation of the Hon. Sec. of the New Zealand Rugby Union. This will add some six clnbs to the strength of the Hawkes Bay Union, and extend its area through the Hawkes Bay province.
