'Bi TBi.xaiu.PH.— P&ias Association.] Hawbra, Bth May. Speaking at Eltham last evening, Mr. G. Hntohison referred to the Ministerial visits to Parihaka. He said he was assured that the visit of the Minister of Labour to P»rihaka had been viewed by Te Whiti and his followers as an evidence of the desire on the part of the Government and of the Qaeen to recognise the independence of Te Wbiti. For a, Minister of the Crown to do what appeared to be paying oonrt to Te Whiti at Paribaka was a great mistake. If Te Whiti had any grievance, let him go to tho Minister at' Wellington.
