Ifbbss association. I Auckland, 9th May. At the Police Court to-day, Mr. Northoroft, S.M., fined the master of the steamer Ngunguru 30a, and 5b per head, for carrying four passengers over the number allowed by bis certificate. The coats wore -61 18s The master of the steamer Invincible was aho fined £2, and costs £1 89, for proceeding on a voyasre from WbauKarei to Ngunguru without having a certificate in force applioable to snclj voyage. Patrick William Hyan, licensee of the Empire Hotel, was fined £2, and £3 costo, to-day for alleged ill-treatment of a dog. Napike, This Dat. George Ellis, a young man, was committed for trial on several ohargea of forgery. Accused was arrested at Taupo.
