At a meeting of the North Wairarapa Liberal Association last evening, a resolution was passed nrging upon the Government the necessity of introducing a schema of btate Fire Insurance. FaAi HEBBTON, THIS DAT. The monthly meeting of the Town Board was hold last evening. The Treasurer reported that the overdraft at tho Bank of Now Zealand was .£37 Is 3d, and accounts amounting to J627 11b 3d were passed for payment. The balance-sheet showed the gross receipts on the ordinary aocount for the year onding 3Ut Mrrch to have been .£2BB 15s, and tho gross expenditure £3% 4s lOd. The gross receipts for the Town Hall building account were .£833 14s Bd, which included £102 2a 5d advanced from the ordinary aocount, and the expenditure was .£8.13 14» Bti, which included £37 10s recently paid for the new piano. It was resolved to pay 103 per diem fur the hire of a horse and cart at any time, and the rate of wages was reduced from 7a to 6s 6d per day.
