Fearful Hurricane at the Caroline Island's.
« I tTKITSD FBKSS ASSOCIATION. I (Eeooived April 26, 0 20 p.m.) Sydney, This Day. News bas been received that the Carolines It-lands were Bwept by a hurricane during January. More than two-thirds of the houses on Yap, one of the principal islands, were levelled to the gronnd. 'I he root of Government Houso was blown off, and the Governor was injured by falling debris. All the food and crops were destroyed, and famine stares the natives in the face nn'ess Borne assistance is rendered by the Spanish Government. Moat of th» small trading vesEels at the group were wrecked, in some cases with lots of life.
