Governor Waite, of Colorado, has been arrested on a charge of opening a letter and using the knowledge thna gained to injure his opponents. He asserts that the charge ib merely a. political trick on the eve of *tne elections. Bail has boen granted. Cardinal Satolli has settled the disputes among jhe Roman Catholics of the United States, and is returning to Europe. The Pope is entirely satisfied with the result of hie efforts.
