Mr. Sandford Fleming estimates that a Pacific cable costing £2,000 000 will yield a surplus of .£20,000 from the start, increasing at the end of ton years to a surplus of .£168,500. London, 31st August. The Times considers that the Imperial I Government onght to entertain the proposals for a Pacific oable.
