In a cup football match played on Saturday, the Masterton Club defeated the Red >tars after a tough contest by nine points to eight. The Albion defeated the Merivales on Saturday by 17 points to love. M'Carthy scored three tries, and Cowan and Caswell a try each, and Wariok convorted one of M'Carthy's tries. Empire first defeated a mixed team of St. John's, on Saturday,, by to lovo. Warner, Graham, and Rash scored a try each, Warner converting two tries, and Graham kicked a goal from a mark.
