INDIGNANT TEACHERS.
(UNITBD PRESS ASSOCIATION.' Melboubnb. 28th January. A deputation representing tbo Bohool teachers waited on the Minister of Education, and declared that the proposed stop, page of the sick pay of teachors was degrading 1 and humiliating. They said they would rather have a redaction made in their wages, as the proposal now made implied that the teachers were malingerers. The Minister replied that they laboured nnder a misapprehension. He pointed out that the exigencies of the State required retrenchment. Laot year, he added, the amount paid to teachers for Bick pay was £10,700.
