MAYORAL ELECTIONS.

WELLINGTON. Only a small amount of interest was manifested in yesterday'B election of a Mayor for the City. Thero were two candidates, viz., Messrs. A. de B. Brandon and C. -F. Worth, and the polling, which took place at the Exchange Hall, resulted in a decided victory for the former. Tho Retnrning Officer was Mr. James Ames, who was assisted by Messrs. H. Thomas, R. H. Chinchen, R. Hill, Joseph Amos, and H. C. Millward Mr. Pilcher was scrutineer for Mr. Worth.
