IT KUMIBXO nOJEOfiASB.— OOFTBIOBI. STRIKE AT ARMSTRONG'S GUN FACTORY. A MASONIC CLAIM. [SPECIAL TO UNITID FBXSS ASSOCIATION.] (Received September 4, 4.50 p.m.) London, 3rd September. Five thousand of the men employed in Sir William Armstrong's gun factory at Elswick have struck. The appeal made by the Grand Lodge of Freemasons of New South Wales to the English Grand Lodge, requesting the latter to recognise them, has been refused. 4th September. The Rev. W. T. Webber, Bishop of Brisbane, sails on Saturday, via San Francisco.
