A Marker Accidentally Shot.

At Te Awamutu on Saturday, Trooper James Weal, while marking at the rifle range, was accidentally shot by Trooper Alexander, who was firing at the 400 yards range. The bullet struct Weal near the point of the right shoulder, crossing the body, and is supposed to be lodged in the left lung, as no point of exit is visible. Weal incautiously came out .of the butts just as Alexander pulled tho trigger. Tharo are but slight hopes of his recovery. Curiously enough Mr. Weal, the father, himself a member of the corps, was accidentally shot at target practice some time ago.
