Dunsandel
WOMEN'S DIVISION
The monthly meeting of the Dunsandel branch of the Women's Division was held with Mrs R. Buckenham presiding. A motion of sympathy was passed with Mrs R. J. Riches and family in their bereavement. It was decided to hold a concert on May 30. A very pleasant social hour was spent. Humorous items and competitions were enjoyed by all. Competition results were: Article made from motor tyre: Miss Mercer 1, Miss D. Gardiner 2, Miss N. Wright 3. Raspberry jam: Mrs F. Chamberlain 1, Miss Mercer 2, Mrs Upston 3. Large blooms: Mrs, Scott 1, Mrs Chamberlain 2. Small: blooms: Mrs Scott 1, Mrs Bishop 2,\ Mrs Wright 3. Vase flowers: Mrs E. G. Wright 1. The hostesses were Group I. BOWLING ,The following players will represent the Dunsandel Bowling Club in the rinks champion of champions competition to be played at Leeston on Saturday next: —R. H. Johnston; J. H. Skinner, J. Boag, and H. A. Brown. The result of the competition^ to find the rink was as follows:—R. H. Johnston, J. H. Skinner, J. Boag, and H. A. Brown beat A. E. Withell, G. Lloyd, G. W. Kime, and F. Chamberlain. A. J. Sheat, E Ryde, N. J. Brown, E. J. Chattertoh beat W. N. Walker, E. A. Washbourne, J. H. Tyler, J. Gardiner. In the play off between Chatterton and Brown's rinks, the latter won by 25 to 20.
