PIGEON TROPHY SHOOT,

WON BY W. H. WINCHESTER

For a trophy donated by Mr E. Burgess, senr., the Ellesmere Gun Club held a pigeon shoot on its ground at Leeston on Saturday. Fine weather prevailed, but the attendance was smaller than usual. The trophy shoot was at eight birds, and the winner was W. H. Winchester, who scored a possible. First and second money in the sweep was divided by L. W. Prosser and F. L.
