MOTHERS' UNION,
There was a fair attendance at the monthly meeting of the Mothers' Union, held in the Parish Hall. The Rev. C. L. Wilson conducted service. The branch has accepted an invitation to , attend, the Mothers' Union festival at Ashburton. After the usual business had been transacted, an interesting address was given by Mrs R. R. Adair on social service work in Boston, for which she was accorded a hearty vote of thanks. The hostesses were Mesdames H. J. Greenwood, M. Watson, A. G. Thompson and E. H. Galpin.
At the Town Hall anteroom this evening the Southbridge Women's Hockey Club is to hold a social, to which all residents of the district are invited. PERSONAL. Mrs Fahey, Opawa, has been visiting her cousin, Mrs L. Palmer, Homebrook, during the school vacation.
