Topp Cup match at Cromwell v Tuapeka or West Otago.

The/Maniototo Refceccs’ Association has held' three meetings since its formation at the beginning of last month. Despite the fact that the majority of the referees have to travel long distances the meetings have been exceptionally well.attended, and in each case it has been close on midnight when the meeting con? eluded. The members of the Association discuss very freely the pros and cons of any subject brought forward, and uniform rulings are becoming apparent throughout the county.

Matches next Saturday in Vincent are ; Tarras to Matak,, Alexandra to Clyde, and Wanaka to Cromwell. On the following Saturday the match of the season, at least as far as club football is concerned, will be played, when Matak. and Alexandra meet at the latter place- It should be a great game

The Clyde team had an interesting trip to Tarras on Saturday, when they managed to get a win, but only by a narrow margin. In the first .spell Tarras had the better of the play, and missed a couple of chances to score- The visitors were all at sixes and sevens at tfio start, but they gave a much better exhibition in the second half. Clyde’s only score was a try by Murtagb, who played a good game, particularly in the second spoil- Two easy goals were missed, while at least another try should have been scored. ]VIr F. Partridge was referee. Matakanui had an easy win at Cromwell on Saturday 19 points to nil.

Alexandra travelled to W ann 1 ; ■where they won by 13 to 3. The Wanaka team has improved considerably and put up quite a good go against AlexandraIn B-gradg Alexandra beat Moa Creek 3(5 to 9 and Earnscleugh beat Lowburn 3 to nil.
