SALE OF WORK.

The sale of Work of the Ladies Guild of S. Michaels Church, which took place in the Town Hall, Clyde, on Friday and Saturday last, was in every respect a huge success. In the first place the goods displayed for sale were first-class, while all the attractions of a Bazaar were also provided. Everything was tastefully and well displayed, while quite the feature was the excellent musical programme supplied both evenings. The items by the children were particularly pleasing, and, as usual, were warmly applauded Each evening the attendance of the public was good, while there was a pleasing and liberal patronage, the many good things offered being promptly disposed ofThe various stalls, etc., were in charge of— Mrs McGlone, (plain stall); Mrs Tattersfield, (fancy stall); Mrs Holdom and Miss Annan, (sweets and drinks); Miss Pardy and Miss Waldron, (Xmas tree and bran tub); Mrs Wood, (tea rooms)- The assistants were, Mrs Davidson, Miss King, Miss Attfield, Miss Waldron, Mrs Waddell, Mrs Ray, Misses Nayior (2), and Misses Wilkinson (2).
