■*- - ■ - There was a big attendance at the opening of the Cromwell club's season on Saturday afternoon. Visitors were present from the neighbouring clubs, Clyde being represented by four car loads. Members of the fair sex were also present in large numbers. Mr Chas- Smart, (president) welcomed the visitors declaring the green open, while Mrs Smart rolled the first bowlMr Smart had also the pleasant duty of opening the clubs handsome new pavilion. The time honoured match president V vice-president was played and enjoyed by allBowlers are given the pick of no less than three official openings on Saturday next— Alexandra Bannockburn and Ranfurly. The Clyde Club will, 1 understand be represented at all three.
