Ten teams competed in the Seniors. the only team from Vincent being Lowborn, who were represented by the same team that won the medals at Alexandra the previous Saturday. Lowburn were defeated in their first game by Palmerston after an even go by by three points to nil. Dunstan Creek were also beaten by Palmerston (9 to nil) but in the final the' latter had absolutely no chance with Matakanui, for whom Frank Donnelly played magniiicently; The winning team —J: Moran, E, Scott, H. Glassford, Frank Donnelly, S Tohill, W, Wilson and P. Moran. Gimmerburn won the second grade and Naseby the Schools. Tuapeka play Maniototo here on Saturday for tne Topp Cup and much interest is centred in thegame, Maniototo are favourites.
