BOER PRISONERS.

Methuen and Baden-Powell. The "Yorkies" Again. (Received July 25, 9 a.m.) Londox, July 2-1. The Hou. Mr Wyndham stated in the House of Commons that arrangements were being made to accommodate Boer prisoners in the healthy hilly country in Ceylon, and that two thousand would probably be received there. The forces under Lord Methuen have effected a junction with those in command of Major-General BadenPowell westward of Pretoria.

Colonel Bruce Hamilton with a second battalion of the Yorkshire Eegiment (old 15th Foot) has occupied a strong position near Spitzray. Three British officers and thirteen men were wounded during the fighting which preceded the capture.
