MUNICIPAL CORPORATIONS' BILL.

[per press association.] Wellington, Last night. A deputation of the Municipal Conference waited on the Premier to-day, and informed him of the result of its deliberations. Mr Se.idon, in reply, said he hoped this ses.-ion would place the Municipal Corporations' Bill on the Statute Book. The opinions of the conference would influence members of Parliament with the representatives of borough in the House, and the desire of the Government to get a good measure through. He thought the prospect of getting the bill pasted through was better than it had ever been before. He uould be in charge of the bill and would not unduly assert his own opinions against those of the conference of men who had to do with the working of municipal laws.
