FRIENDLY SOCIETY CASE.
An Interesting Point.

AUCKL4ND, Last night. Mr Brabant, S.M., gave a decision to-day in a case of interest to friendly societies. George Church sued the Oddfellows' Lodge for sick pay, the lodge * having refused to continue the payments as he was following aome light employment. The Magistrate decided that as plaintiffs claim had already been arbitrated on by the Grand Master aad Board of Directors of the Order in England, in accordance with the rules of the Order, the Court had no jurisdiction.
