I [PEK MESS ASSOCIATION. —COPXEIQHT.

[PBE PBESS ASSOCIATION.] Dunedin, This day. Wheat.—The unsettled weuther experienced lately has retarded threshing operations considerably, bo that so far very little comparatively of the new crop has yet come to hand. This market still continues void of animation, and transactions during the week have been unimportant, the few sales effected being in buyers' favor. Millers not feeling confident as to the stability of the market, are operating with considerable reserve, and buy only sufficient for their present small requirements. The drooping tendency of the market at Home is unmistakably being reflected in that of tbo local market, still small parcels in thorough condition are saleable, while medium, of which there is the larger proportion, is very difficult to place at anything over the price of fowl-feed. Quotations this week differ but little from last week's, which are—For northern best tuscan and velvet 4s to 4s 3d, medium to good 3s 3d to 3s 9d, good whole fowl wheat 2s 9d to 3e, broken Is Gd to 2s Gd (ex store; sacks weighed in ; terms). Oats.—The wet weather at the beginning of last "week hindered the delivery considerably, and with a moderately fair demand on the part of both millers and shippers prices have remained firm, but during the last day or two consignments are assuming large dimensions, and it seems evident that, if growers insist on making immediate sales without reserves, it will hardly be possible to maintain the price lately quoted. We again give last week's quotations, cay, for prime bright feed and milling Is Gd to Iβ medium to good Is 5d to Is Gd, inferior Is to Is 4d (ex store ; sacks extra ; net; :J-d per bushel extra f.o.b. at Dunedin).

Barley.—This market still continues flat, and only occasional transactions are passing. Quotations nominal, say, for beet malting 2s 10d to 3s, extra prime 3s 3d, medium 2s 6d to 2s Bd, feed and milling 2s 3d to 2s 6d (oxstore; sacks extra; torinsl.
