MORE FIRES.
-v MAN BURNED TO DEATH. [per press association.] Christchurcti, This day. About half-past five o'clock this morning M'Phcrsou's sodawater factory in Cambridge Terrace was destroyed by fire. Mr M'Pherson was seen at the beginning of the fire, but not afterwards. A body of a man charred beyond recognition, but believed to be his, was found in an upper room. Palmepjton North, This day. A house insured in the New Zealand office for £125 was burned down last night. A shed adjoining caught fire, aud was supposed to be out, but the fire spread up afterwards and destroyed the house.
