Moved by Mr Sutton, seconded by Mr Miller—" That a. select committee be appointed to enquire into this matter, and report to the general committee as to the best means to be adopted to make the show more general and more useful, especially in the way of encouraging the exhibition of colonial manufactures, agricultural implements, and agricultural matters of all kinds, and that it be a direction to the sub-com-mittee to consider the question of the erection of a permanent produce-shed, and to determine the site thereof. The sub-com-mittee to consist of Messrs T. Tanner, C. A. Fitzßoy, R. Wellwood, J. N. Williams, M. R. Miller, J. Anderson, C. Brown, and the mover ; three to form a quorum."—Carried. Mr Miller moved, "That exhibitors of sheep shall declare that all their sheep shown were fairly and evenly shorn at their last shearing."—Carried. Mr Sutton moved, " That exhibitors of sheep shall declare that their sheep have not bepn dipped or their wool dressed with anything since 31st May preceding the show, and if it has been necessary for the purpose of destroying ticks or lice that they should bo dipped after that date, it must be stated in the entries, and the use of any substance to induce or improve the growth of wool shall not be allowed."—Negatived. Moved by Mr Bennett, seconded by Mr Heslop, "That a special meeting of the Committee be called for Friday, 25th February, for the purpose of arranging the programme for the next show, and receiving a report from the select committee just appointed."—Carried. Mr Sutton gave notice to move at next meeting, " That the sheep classes be divided into three sections in accordance with the custom previous to 1886." Mr Coleman gave notice to move at next meeting, " That in the sheep classes section 11. and all restrictions be done away with." Some small accounts were passed for payment, and the meeting adjourned. j
