To-day the Press Association agent at Timaru has forwarded, us full particulars of the programme of a race meeting to take place there. It will not interest a single reader of this journal, not a local horse will be entered, but as the message costs us one halfpenny per word, we inflict it on our subscribers, as some journals would cay to show our enterprise.
The first of the Napier Rowing Club's sculling races will take place in the Inner Harbor to-morrow afternoon, the first race to start at half-past two. The following are the competitors:—Messrs Tylee, Begg, Provis, Rochfort, and Styche.
The following is the crew picked by the Napier Rowing Club to compete against the Gisborne Rowing Club in. their annual match to be rowed a IGisborne about the middle of March: —Styche (stroke), Tylee, Cato, and Begg.
