At the half-yearly meeting of tbe Bay of Islands Coal Company to-day the report showed that 22,818 tons were sold in six months for £13,681. The balance to profit is £2096, from which the directors declare a dividend of seven per cent, per annum. Mrs Evitt, a well-known and respectable lady, when coming from church yesterday, suddenly fell down and was carried into an adjacent house, and died in a few minutes, She has been under the doctor's care for heart disease.
