WELLINGTON.
August 8. At tbe Magistrate's Court to-day, Robert McCarfey, the cook on the Stormbird, was charged with stealing £210 in half-crowns, and £190 ip shillings, the property of the owners of the Stormbird, and was remanded until to-morrow.' Garrett, a butcher, was fined £20 for selling a hare without a license. The magistrate said he would take steps to have the fine reduced.
