DUNEDIN.
June 6. The Waimea Plains railway shows a profit for nine months of £849, exclusive of the grain traffic, which is not brought into account. Mr Bastings has resigned the secretaryship. By a fire at Pine Hill on Saturday a four-roomed house and stable, belonging to Mr Richards, was burned. The stock and furniture was insured for £150, and the buildings for £250 in the South British office. News has been received here of the death of the Rev. Mr Ash in the Sydney Lunatic Asylum
