PARLIAMENTARY NEWS. SEPARATION RESOLUTIONS. MR. MOORHOUSE A CANDIDATE FOR EGMONT. [From New Zealand Press Association.] Wellington, Wednesday.

Mr. Macandrew bats given notice of the following amendment on Mr.Rcynolds's separation resolution:—" That in order to procure a more efficient and economical administration, of government,, it' is expedient that New Zealand should be constituted into two colonies, divided by Cook's Straits. That provision be made for an edui table adjustment of the annual charge arising out of the existing burdens'of Ifew Zealand ; also,, whereby the two colonies sh*H be subject to the same CBBtoms tariff, and confederated for. external purposes common to each. That a bill to give effect to this resolution be prepared during the recess, and be submitted to the Assembly next session." It i« reported that Mr. Moorhouse has resigned his Registrar-Generalship, in ordet to stand for the electoral district of Egmonfc.the seat rendered vacant by the resignation of Mr. Gißborne. > ■
