QUICKSILVER MINE AT THE BAY OF ISLANDS.

Messrs. E. Thomas, J. Oalder, T, Kennan, D. Graham, aud Sfcepheuson arrived at the Thames on Tuesday jn the 'Wild' Due's' from the Bay of Islands, where, they have been to inspect the locality of the alleged diacoTery ot a mine of quicksilver. They brought with them samples of the' staff taken from the veins, and there ia no doubt whatever but that nthey contain quicksilver of & very superior quality and ik good quantity. The mercury is found in a sort of sand vein. We are informed' that' Jhe discovery was made at a place about 26 miles north of the Bay of. Islands, near an old crater..
