WAIUKU: WESLEYAN SCHOOL SOIREE.

The usual tea-meeting in connection with the Waiuku Wesleyan Sunday School took place this evening. Trays were provided by the following ladiea : — Mrs. Bamball, Mrs. Hosking, Mrs. Flexman, and Miss Dickey. After tea the Rev. Mr. Law, who had beeu voted to the chair, addressed the meeting. — Hymn by the choir: "The Children's Jubilee."— The Secretary, Mr. Samuel Barriball, then read the fourth annual report, which showed that the total number of scholars attending the school was 85 — 40 girla and 45 boys; average attendance, 19; number of teachers, 9 — 4 males and 5 females ; 1 superintendent, 1 secretary, and 2 librarians. Ninety volumes had been added to the library during the year. Total number of books in the library, 320. The cash, accounts showed % deficiency of 305., which he trusted would be made up before they parted that evening.— Mr. Barriball moved the adoption of the report. — The Rev. Mr. Lewis seconded the report. — On the motion of Mr. Caleb Hosking, seconded by Mr. McElwain, a vote of thanks was accorded to the ladies. Votes were also given to the choir, and the Rev. Mr. Lewis. — Before the meeting dispersed a collection was made, which amounted to £1 17s. od., which leaves a balance of 7s. sd. on the right side.
