The Argua of the 27th reports :— In breadstuff's we note sales of Victorian flour at £11 10s, while a shipment of 6,000 bushels of Port MacDonnell wheat wm sold in a line for export at equal to 5s 3d in tows. Maize is dull at 4s. Teas continue to maintain an aspect of considerable activity ; a fair parcel of ordinary congou, in halfchests, was placed at Is £d for trade requirements. Sales have been effected at prices ranging from Is 7d to 2d, according to quality, and a line of 130 chests of good medium congou was taken up at Is 9d per lb. in bond. Candles were somewhat brisker, and the market has really a better look. A line of 500 boxes and several 200-box parcels have been disposed of fprivately at 13d and a trifle under, while at auction I2sd was offered for lib. Belmonts, but the parcel was withdrawn for 14d. Sales of yellow crystals for brewing are reported at £39. A shipment of Norway cod, expre«Bly prepared for this market, in tin-lined cases of 4cwt., |cwt., and lcwt. sizes, in fine preservation, has just been landed, ex 'C. M. Datis.' The quality is superior, and the importer asks 4sd to sd. Old Patna rice is moved off slowly in small parcels at £20. Currants have been quitted at 4|d to sd, sales having been made at those figures. In keronne oil business continues to be done at late quotations. , Sales of Cozzen's on the spot are mentioned at 2s 84d, while parcels of Photolite have been sold at 2s 7d. In tobaccos we hear of very fine half-pound, of aromatic having been placed at Is lOd. Liquids do not attract much notice; a shipment of Bass'*' ale, of Fo»Ur'« bottling, has been quitted at 9s j

Coz-\ zens kerosine, to arrive, has been disposed of at 1 2i7d; Ofcard's brandy, 21s j Hennessey's, 26s 6d; coarse salt has been sold for Sydney at £21286 di Rice is quoted at £27 10s, and ther* are some negotiations for the Sjdney market 1 '
