Passengers— Cabin : DCO Cattell, J. Lewis, A. Bull, Carter, Cruickshank, Mr. Mrs. and Miss Cormick, Chief Justice and Mrs Moore, Outhwaite, Carter. Fore-cabin : Campbell, Withern, Monham, Ryan, Magane, Campbell, Boneface, Cox, Somely, and 2 children.— H. M. Jervis, agent. 2— Emma Jane, 34 tons, Wilson, for Hokitika, with 16,000 feet iawnl timber, 3,000 bricks, order.— £. Gibbons and Co., agents.
The barque Kathleen, Captain McDonald, arrived here oa Monday morning from Newcastle, N.S.W. She lefb on the 20th of September, with strong westerly winds throughout. She brings 312 tons coals consigned to order. — W. D. Brewer, agent. The P., N.Z., and A.E.M. Co.'s s.s. Egmont, Captain H all, steamed off the White Bluff yesterday afternoon at 3 o'clock, with a large number of passengeri. The twin-screw steamer Halcyon, in command of Edward Wing, will leave the new Government wharf this day, at 11 am., for Waiuku. This affords a good opportunity for passengers visiting there. The N.Z.S.N. Co.'s s. s. Kangatira, Captain McGregor, will leave the wharf this day, at noon, for Taranaki, Wanganui, and Wellington. The ketch Isabella, Captain Barrell, will leave for Eaipara this day, weather permitting, to load timber for Hokitika. TheN.Z.S.N. Co.'s ss. Queen, Captain Kreeft, will leave the harbour this day, at noon, for Taranaki and Southern Ports. The fine cutter Volunteer, Captain Watts, will sail for Hokitika on Saturday.
