ALMOST WIPED OUT
Great Grecian Port (Received October 19, 1.35 a.m.) LONDON, October 18. The Exchange Telegraph Agency’s Athens correspondent reports that Piraeus harbour was almost completely destroyed by the Germans. The damage to the harbour installations is estimated at £25,000,000 sterling, and repairs would take at least two years. German experts methodically carried out the demolitions, and explosions were heard 50 miles away.
