The complete liberation of the capital is considered very near. A' later message, quoting a Yugoslav source, says that only the mopping-up of scattered pockets of resistance remains to be carried out in Belgrade. Moscow is still silent on the East Prussian operations, but German reports indicate that a vicious battle is continuing there, aud also the “mighty collision” in eastern Hungary.

The German overseas news agency states that a new German weapon—an electric, machinegun—is being used in the fi-htiii" for the East Prussian line. Ibe troops eall it the “death-scythe.”
