MEAT RATIONING
Extra Supply For Britain It was estimated that as a result of the meat rationing scheme in the Dominion about 37,000 tons of meat would, lie exported to Britain, said the .Minister of Marketing. Mr. Roberts, in the House yesterday, replying to an Opposition, inquiry. The Minister said it was difficult to assess the actual value of the rationing scheme. Replying to questions on the new meat schedule, the Minister said it was not possible to give any information nt this stage, or to give any indication when it would be available. The schedule was now being discussed by the Stabilization Commission and the Meat Board. Il was not the Government's intention to rescind the fat stock disposal order, said the Minister, in answering several inquiries. The end of the war was not in sight, and it. was therefore necessary to retain the order.
