HUNGARIAN GENERALS’ DEFECTION
RUGBY, October 17. Definite information about Hungary is still awaited, but it is significant that the Germans have been compelled to admit the defection of two senior Hungarian generals—General Veres, who is reported to have been dismissed, and General Miklos, who. went over to the Russians with all his staff and the army funds.
The situation in Budapest still appears to be confused and anything but calm, since strikes arc reported and German troops and police have been sent .to the city.
