CREAM ZONING
No Relaxation Yet While he sympathized with the desires of farmers to be relieved from the zoning system under which they had to supply certain dairy factories with cream, he did not think it was yet possible to relax the orders, said the Minister of Agriculture, Mr, Roberts, in the House of Representatives last night. He was replying to criticism made by Mr. Mackley (Opposition, Masterton), who said there was’ great dissatisfaction in his electorate and other districts. The Minister said he knew the issue was very acute, and he had hoped he might be able to abrogate some of the orders. The primary consideration was that Britain still required more and more butter. While the regulation might be found irksome, the position might have proved even more difficult for farmers.
