The Metropolitan Trotting Club’s meeting will be concluded at Addington today. Splendid fields are engaged and the racing promises to be particularly interesting. specially the three feature events, the Stewards’ Free-for-All. the Metropolitan Stakes, and the August Pacing Free-lor-All. The principal two mile event has drawn a tield of 20, including two or three on the brink of (’up company. If the going is good the form of week should work out well, but. if the irack is heavy some surprises may he expected. A particularly strong field will contest the August Pacing Pree-for-AU. and with Gold Bar on hand the pace is sure to be torrid from the start. Horses likely to find, favour include: — Intermediate Handicap: F’antom, Worthy Treasure and Blue Horizon. Islington Handicap: Surprise Potts, Gold Peg and Scott A\worthy.
