WEDDING

Sewell—Morris

The wedding took place in the Methodist Church, Dannevirke, on March 4. of June Ivy, youngest daughter of Mrs. and the late Mr. J. Morris, Dannevirke. and William Joseph, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. E. Sewell. The Rev. Mr. Ford was the officiating minister. , The bride, who entered the church with her brother, Mr. AV. Morris, Palmerston North, was dressed in a gown of slipper satin and silk tulle. The tight-fitting bodice was gathered on to a full skirt of tulle with satin flowers worked round the hem. She wore a lovely embroidered veil, held in place by a halo of velvet roses, and carried a shower bouquet. She was attended by her two sisters. Miss May Morris, chief bridesmaid, and Mrs. York, matron of honour. They wore lemon organdie frocks with tight-fitting bodices and full skirts. The yolks were pin-tucked and they wore lemon-coloured halos with mauve flowers, mauve shouldersprays and shower bouquets of mauve flowers. , r The bridegroom, was attended by Mr. Robert Hessell, best man, Timaru and Mr. Stanley Morris, brother of the bride. Guests at the reception, held in the Foresters’ Hall, were received by Mrs. Morris, who wore a navy costume with hat and shoes to tone. She was assisted by Mrs. Sewell, who wore a teal green frock with black accessories. AVhen the bride and bridegroom left for their honeymoon the bride travelled in a black tailored costume with toning accessories.
