The third annual meeting of the Junior Drama League was held iu Wellington recently, when branch reports were read and discussed. The secretary reported that a number of branches had been obliged to close down last year, because of lack of helpers.. After discussion it was jccided that, it would be advisable for the league to go into recess for a time, as the few remaining members found it impossible to carry on without, assistance. Apart from one or two social evenings the only work done by the league during tlie year was the presentation ot a matinee session of childrens plays in connexion with the' British League’s annual festival. It. was decided to hold a further meeting in 1- months to reconsider the position.
