NEW HANDS AND FACE

Plastic Surgery Miracle

LONDON. February 13. Plastic surgeons have given a South African pilot new hands and face and restored his sight, says a Kimberley correspondent. The pilot crashed in the enemy lings during the Abyssinian campaign. South African troops who found him thought he was dead till he groaned. His hands had been charred to the bone, and when he recovered consciousness in hospital he was found to be blind. Plastic surgeons grafted skin from his body and gave him new hands, face,, eyelids, and eyebrows. He is believed to intend flying again.
