CELEBRATION OF RED ARMY DAY
A Red Army Day celebration will be held in the New Time Theatre next Sunday, when the mayor, Mr. Hislop, will preside and a short address will be given by Mr. Atmore, M.P. The feature of the evening will be “Moscow Offensive,” a full-length film of the Red Army in action. This film contains some remarkable battle scenes, pictures of the destruction of the German.'armies; of their atrocities on the Russian people, and the ruing of Russian cities left behind by the retreating Nazis. Red Army Day is February 23, but it is being celebrated in Wellington on Sunday, February 20. The function will be representative, and the public are invited. Net proceeds arc for patriotic funds.
